Problems with Live Messenger, in that it freezes during convo. It would do
this from around 20 seconds to a minute at times. If you type it would show
after it unfreezes. If in a webcam convo, on my side would show freeze, but
others still see me ok. It may freeze like this for 1 hour and around 5 times
in that hour. I had version 8.1, and then though if I upgrade to 8.5 it would
solve the problem - it never.
Sometimes when using another program i.e. Internet Explorer it would switch
to the main Messenger window with contacts without me doing so. It does this
after Messenger freezes. So can only assume it happens even if I am using
Messenger or not, as long as it is running it would freeze at times.
I have even deleted it and reinstalled without any success. I even took my
webcam out thinking it was this, but still no success. Run AVG virus and
found nothing.
I closed it once and got the readout below. I did this when it froze once, I
deliberatly pressed the close [X] button and it came up with the Messenger
not responding, then the usual error code business and if you want to send
the problem to Microsoft etc.
