Hi.

After installing IE 7, Windows Live Messenger goes up and down intermittently.

I uninstalled IE 7, and Messaging is back to normal.

Any clues ? Thanks.

Greetings,

I don't have a fix for you, but I can tell you this certainly isn't the case for everyone.
Messenger does make use of WinInet (same as IE) so they are connected however I can't really
think of anything specifically at this point that should be causing this.

Have you tried reinstalling IE7 since you uninstalled it just to validate it wasn't some
problem on the network at the time?

Hi Jonathan.

I haven't reinstall it, but I will, and post whatever happens then. Thank you.

I reinstalled IE 7. Same problem. I open IE7, close it, and Live Messenger
signs-off. Everytime I open IE7, Live Messenger goes down after.
