Since 3 weeks ago, every time I start MSN Messenger it logs me in properly
and about 1 minute or 2 after I'm connected it breaks the connection and
start a 'trying to reconnect in ... seconds'

I have installed all the updates my system required, still no success.

I have search the web and solutions for my problem did not work. I have also
went to the MSN web site for changing my MSN password and still no progress.

On a forum it has been suggest that I remove MSN entirely et re-install it,
that's where I am now.

Any idea what else I could try ?

Can I try to install an older version of Messenger ?

If you are using a router, please check to ensure the date and time on the
router and your computer are correct and that they match.

Greetings,

I assume it reconnects without issue and then the cycle repeats?

If you're using Vista or Win7, you may want to try turning off the auto tuning networking
feature. To turn off this feature, open up an elevated command prompt and type the following:
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

If you're unsure what I mean by an "elevated command prompt", this explains it:

Other things apply like if you have bittorrent traffic on your local network, it's not
uncommon to be disconnected from Messenger if its saturated your connection (or any router
you have might not be able to keep up), in which case you may want to tone down the torrent
connection settings.
