I have just reloaded PC and Messenger Live on Windows Media Center 2005 PC.
I unchecked the scanning feature in Norton for Messenger Live. If I
reenable this feature in Norton, does this cause problems in Messenger Live?
I use a dial up connection and I wasn't sure if I had to disable this
feature or not.

IMHO, with Norton, who knows...
I wouldn't install Norton in... mhmmm... anything. I think the only
functionality Norton/Symantec hast, it has is to test RAM (because it
uses... A LOT). Lol.

The only good product they used to have (Ghost) now comes with a lot of
stuff loaded in memory (¿?), autoupdates, blah, blah, blah.

Thanks for the input, but I already have it installed. It came with PC and
so far has been working OK. Just wasn't sure if it supports new Windows
Live Messenger.

Greetings,

Shouldn't have any problems per se. I'd leave it unchecked as there's no real point since
the files sent through Messenger will be scanned anyway when you go to view them.
