Messenger Live and Win 7 - Cannot Log In - Error 80070057

When I try to log into Live Messenger (v2009 Build 14.0.8050.1202) I get the
message:

"We can't sign you into Windows Live Messenger
Signing in to Windows Live Messenger failed because the specified e-mail
address does not exist or the service is not available.
~~~
Error code: 80070057"

I am having no problem signing in with Windows Live Mail on the Windows 7
installation.
I am having no problem signing on using Windows Messenger on a Windows XP
installation.

Please check Windows time and date settings..

Sometime solving the problem..
