Messenger Live does not seem to sign out properly

Sometimes when I log off the Internet (running MCE 2005 and Messenger Live
8) it seems that Messenger Live is still logged in since the icon does not
switch back to the red x. This is of course, when I disconnect from the
internet using my 56k dial up connection from local ISP.

I checked Windows Messenger settings and all items are still checked except
for the log on automatically option. I also changed to a new account after
installing Windows Messenger Live. Was I suppose to uncheck all of the
Windows Messenger items such as allow to run in background etc.? I did not
want to disable any functionality that I will need.

Is this actually a problem or a bug of some kind?

Greetings,

In WLM, detection of disconnections has been changed, so this is to be expected. It should
detect the disconnection eventually, or you can simply click right-click the icon and choose
Sign Out if you want it to happen immediately.
