Messenger loads but wont open??

Hi All,

Seen a few post along these lines but no fix. I have configured Windows Live
Messenger to log me in when I open it but not yo auto start with Windows.
Starting today when I start Messenger it logs me in but minimses to the
panel by the clock in the bottom right hand corner of the screen (sorry
always forget what that is called!!) and it will not open for me to see if
my any of my contacts are online.

have tried all sort, signing out and back in, etc etc and it will not open.

This is on a Windows XP Home PC and intersstingly it works ok it on another
login on the same PC!! Nothing has changed to my knowledge apart virus def
updates and such!!

Any ideas please?

Well aren't I a silly s*d!!!

I suddenly realised that when i was opening it, it seemed to leap to the
right before dissappearing. I have recently configired the PC for two
monitors and the second one was still technically attached but switched
off!!!

MSN was displaying on the second, switched off monitor!!!

Though i better post it here cos i know that you would all be reserching
this fior me ;-)

Could have rebuilt the PC if i had not spotted it!!

Hi Bill,

If it makes you feel better, other applications do this occasionally and it drives me crazy
(especially on a remote desktop session).
