Messenger to Mobile

I love being able to SMS text to a cell phone from Messenger, but I am having
problems.

Is there a way to resend the initial communication authorization message
that the phone owner gets from MSN? My daughter had too much music on her
phone which was causing text messages to be deleted before they could be read.

I can add new people, but since she didn't respond to the first message my
texts to her are lost in the ether.

Thanks

Well I played around a bit and came up with a solution. You might be able to
skip some of the below steps, but this is what I did.

- Begin an SMS session with an established mobile contact.
- Find out what number this mobile contact is replying to. (a six-digit
number in my case)
- Keeping the first session open, send a message to the unresponsive mobile
contact.
- Have the unresponsive mobile contact send a message to the number the
established mobile contact is using to communicate with your Messenger.

The unresponsive contact should get a failure message, followed by a new
Messenger request to allow you to communicate with them.

I suspect if the unresponsive contact simply texted the letter "a" (for
accept) to the number provided by the established contact that other steps
would be unneeded, but I fixed my issue with the steps I outlined, so I
couldn't verify this abbreviated version works.

Neither is really elegant. It would be nice to be able to resend a
communication request from MSN as long as the mobile phone user never
responded with "d" (for deny) which is the second of the two 'acceptible'
responses.

It didn't occur to me when I posted my below workaround. The established
mobile contact needs to be on the same carrier (i.e. Sprint, T-Mobile,
Tracfone, etc.) as the unresponsive mobile contact.

Otherwise the "reply-to" number will be ineffectual.
