When ever I try to start a voice chat, I get "Messenger is not available
right now. Please try again later. (0x80ef01f8)". old versions used to work
fine, I think the problem first started around 8.1?. Am now trying 8.5beta1
and still broken. Any body got a link to download the oldest version that
can run ontop of Vista64?

Oh and MS, I tried to post via www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/,
but it just kept trying to open a popup which IE7 itself was blocking !!!,
and no, I am not going to turn off popup blocking

Found a workaround - start a "video call". That works*. Strange.

*I don't have my webcam working due to no drivers for it for vista64 - so no
picture - but I don't care.

> The same thing have been happening to me for about a week now. I thought it might be my computer, but everything else runs fine. No malwre of any sort, etc. I usually use voice chat when on MSN so it was kind of frustrating that it just stopped working all of a sudden.

I assume you mean for voice communication? Are you using any third-party software firewall
or even a router?
