Messenger not Displaying "Now Playing Music" in WMP 11 Beta

Is this a beta+beta problem, or is there a workaround to this?

It seems to work ok on my installation (build 8.1.0106.00)

Check that the windows live plugin is still selected in your windows media
player, and that the option to show what youre listening to is still selected
in messenger - a new installation can disable both of these.

For a start, WMP11 is no longer in beta, you might want to make sure you
have the most current version which you can download from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...downloads.aspx

You might want to check

how to resolve this problem. Failing that, running the messenger install
and choosing the repair option should also work.
