Hi
I changed my account a couple of days ago from an Hotmail.com to
Live.com account, I took my Old hotmail contacts and added them to my
new Live account, (I did all of this on a MAC), then I went online and
everything was working fine, until I decided to log off, when I logged
in again, all of my contacts names are gone and is displaying their
email addresses instead, Then I went online on ADIUM and the same thing
happened, only like 3-4 contacts are showing their names, instead of
their email, now this only happens with OFFLINE contacts, now I know
this has nothing to do with windows BUT then I tried to log in with my
old computer (with Vista) and the same thing happened there, NONE of my
OFFLINE contacts are displaying their nicknames, I had tried
everything:
History:
Deleted Everything Messenger related on my Mac (including ADIUM)
Saved and then Deleted contact list using Windows Live Messenger
(Vista)
Transferred my contacts again on Vista
Moved contacts to another Group
Yes, I tried the "display names" option
Ok another thing I should mention is that if I sign in in my MAC or
VISTA computer USING Windows Messenger then all the offline contacts
that had been online DO get saved BUT it's depending on what computer
I'm using, in other words the ones that are displayed on my VISTA
computer won't show up on my MAC computer unless they signed in while I
was using my MAC computer, this is kind of hard to explain so I'm sorry
if it's confusing you.
Even if I get online using, Meebo or Ebuddy or anything Messenger
related it only displays email addresses.
I think it's a problem with the account
Please help me cause I don't know what to do anymore
