Hi,
I have Windows XP Home edition, use Windows Messenger with no problem as
well as MSN Messenger I installed recently.

I installed SP2 and since, the voice is terrible through MSN Messenger I can
hardly understand my friend, it is all cut and mixture in between the
syllables (either Windows and MSN). Removed MSN messenger and check Windows
Messenger it continues with the problem.

Removed SP2, my Windows messenger works perfect like before.
Reinstalled SP2, problem is back.
Removed it again problem disappear.

I think it is obvious SP@ causes problem.
Is there a solution to that please?
Or is it a Microsoft fix that will or should come?

Thank you!

Daniel

Mack, thank you for your reply. I would add now that I've been through
troubleshooting steps with Microsoft and they found out that it is a hardware
issue in SP2, the conclusion was that they have to work on it to create a
patch to solve the problem which is a problem with the sound circuits even if
I have no other kind of sound problems.

I have the same problem with both, my Onboard Realtek sound chip as much as
when I use my SoundBlaster 16 PCI card with the latest drivers.
