Mack, thank you for your reply. I would add now that I've been through
troubleshooting steps with Microsoft and they found out that it is a hardware
issue in SP2, the conclusion was that they have to work on it to create a
patch to solve the problem which is a problem with the sound circuits even if
I have no other kind of sound problems.
I have the same problem with both, my Onboard Realtek sound chip as much as
when I use my SoundBlaster 16 PCI card with the latest drivers.
