MessengerKiller Popups - Windows Dialog Popups

I'm getting popups on my computer when I'm connected to
my high speed connection. They're from
MessengerKiller.com, PopupBlocker.com, and other stupid
popup scam sites. They send you these popups and then
they make you pay for them to stop!!!! I know that I
should be able to stop them without buying their software
which I refuse to pay for and install on my computer.
I'm sure they do something to your computer you don't
want! They pop up almost every hour regularly with
basically no rhyme or reason. How do I stop them????
The last one actually quoted a Microsoft Security code
and said it was a message from microsoft that I should go
buy the messengerkiller software! Is that allowed? I
have a screenshot. Can I sue???!!!??

This is a media center specific group. Try posting to an internet explorer
group, you'll probably get the answer you are looking for there.

Go to services and stop messenger service on your
machine. Or get a firewall installed on your computer.
