Greetings Lars,
It sounds like something broke with your installation with SP2. Usually this is fixed by
heading over to the Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs, look for the Windows Live
applications and uninstall them all. In most normal installations this all can be done by
choosing Windows Live Essentials and then uninstalling everything there.
Then go ahead and re-download the Live Suite to install the applications you wanted @

Note: you won't lose any Messenger, Mail, etc. emoticons/mailboxes/settings by doing this.
