One reason they hesitate, I guess, is that an awful lot of
the Windows Mail problems are not their fault.
Vista comes with adequate help facilities for setting up
Windows Mail but the ISPs do not always give very good
instructions for their customers and their frontline support
is frequently shockingly poor.
Likewise may Windows Mail problems are a result of computer
manufacturers being keen to make a fast buck by getting into
bed with suppliers of non Vista compatible products, particularly
Norton and McAfee antivirus software.
Again this is compounded by, often expensive, customer support
that is simply incompetent.
