Microphone Problem

Alright I bought a microphone back in september or august and somehow got it
working. Well I recently reformatted my computer and for some dumb as reason
my computer thinks theres an invisable jack on the front of my computer and
refuses to find the one on the back where the microphone is plugged in. Can
some one help me get this thing working again cause I'm not sure how I got it
to work the first time.

You should have a CD with the drivers for the motherboard, which you did not
reinstall when you redid vista.
Or else, go to the OEM manufacturer's and/or motherboards website and
download what you need.

Its the USB drivers that are missing. Reload from the motherboard disk.

My USB Drivers are working fine. I have My Gamepad plugged into the front and
It works. Its the 3.5 mm jack that refuses to.

As for the cd's that came with my computer I originally only had 2 which
went up to three when I bought a new video card.
