I have attempted to install a client using InstallShield which is currently
running on XP, but repeatedly get the message Microsoft (C) Registry Server
Stopped during the installation. The client actually runs after
installation. How do I correct these errors?

What "client"? Does the "client's" tech support say it is compatible
with Vista?

The client is a Version 12 Clarify client. The vendor does not support this
version on Vista. From what I can determine, it appears to be a problem
registering DLLs??, The client actually runs after installation and access
the server application. However, some functions don't work due to the lack
of dlls. Looking for a way to correct.

If the Vendor doesn't support the client and you have issues with
registering the DLL's, then maybe you need to look at another solution.
Unless you want to rewrite the DLL's and register them yourself. I don't
think so.

Larry - As Mr. Yanaire as written, you can't do what you want. Workarounds:

1. Go back to XP. Run the Clarify client natively.

2. Run Vista as a host operating system with virtualization software
(Virtual PC 2007 or VMWare) and create a virtual machine running XP. Run
the Clarify client in the vm.

3. Find another program that will meet your needs and is supported in Vista.

Good luck,
