Microsoft Desktop Search

I just installed Microsoft Desktop Search and it works fine for finding
things on my computer but I can not get it to connect to the web similar to
how Google Desktop did. I followed the info on how to do it but I just can
not understand what it is telling me and I can not bring up the "panes" it
tells me to change as they are just not there.

I have turned on my web browser which is Internet Explorer but I only get the
"page can not be displayed"

I must be doing something wrong. I know this is a new product which just
came out but perhaps someone can help. Thanks.
