CNET: "If I ask you who is Microsoft's biggest competitor now, who would it
be?"

Steve Ballmer: "Open...Linux. I don't want to say open source. Linux,
certainly
have to go with that."

That's an incorrect statement.
MS didn't lose one penny of real money. Their stock value declined, just
like Apple's fell (17%!) and so did Google's.
It is all just a paper loss for those companies and unless a share
holder sells they too suffer only a paper loss.

I bet that ****es you off doesn't it alias?

Take it up with the author.

Yeah that happens when you have an idiot like Bush at the helm and a nut
case like Ballmer heading up MS. The dollar ain't doing too well either.

LOL! "Only" a paper loss?

Doesn't affect me one way or the other. Back ten years, people who used
computers didn't know much better. The times they are a-changing and not
in Microsoft's favor.

Maybe you missed the fact that MS just had one of it's most profitable
qrt's ever.

The dollar ain't doing too well either.

That is both good and bad. Depends on what you're looking at.

Yeah, a "paper loss" is only a loss on paper. Not a real tangible
financial loss unless you sell at a price that is lower than the price
at which you bought.

Again, MS just had one of their very best qrts, financially speaking. I
bet that fact also ****es you off.
Good!...LOL!

Get back to me when you understand basic economics. It's obvious that
you don't have even a rudimentary understanding.

You got to remember the very limited mental abilities of Frank the
wannabe business wiz. While a "paper loss" it is also a very real loss
is the market value of the underlying stock. The banking industry is a
prime example. In the past 18 months in the US the sector has seen
losses between 35-90% in market capitalization. That's a major hit.

This is far more than a mere paper loss. It is also a loss to the
corporation's ability to raise new capital and if they try again like
some of the banks have that dilutes the value of the stock for current
stockholders and that is a REAL loss, not a paper loss because the
number of outstanding shares often go up dramatically which usually
results in the underlying stocking losing more ground as investors
sell.

What's so damn funny to me is Frank keeps claiming he runs a business
and he keeps showing he doesn't understand a damn thing about
business, not ever at a elementary level.

Just curious Alias, what's the tax rates for corporations like in
Spain? They have capital gains tax breaks for investors?

No maybe about it. You Frank being a world class rummy don't
understand that Microsoft shareholders don't share in Microsoft's
record profits with them only paying a lousy 1.68% return via
dividends.

Keep it up Frank. You're doing a really good job (as usual) of proving
what a clueless idiot you always are.

Again, Frank's wisdom comes shining through. Yea right. If only. A
weak dollar benefits foreigners and exporters. That's about it. Every
one else suffers. I would say at least $5 maybe $10 of the current
inflated market oil prices are because of the weak dollar. Also a weak
dollar makes foreign investors look elsewhere to invest their money
while others with deep pockets can buy up American companies on the
cheap. Both bad for our economy.

Frank, you would be better off keeping your mouth shut rather than
commenting on things you know little about. Unless of course you enjoy
me painting you the fool regardless of topic.

I'm sure even you have seen Boon Pickens info commercials where a guy
that made billions in oil now says 70% of our oil is coming from
offshore and we're in the middle of the biggest wealth transfer out of
America to other parts of the world at pace not dreamed of in the
past. That spells trouble with a capital T and a weak dollar is one of
the prime drivers.

But Frank, never mind, you just keep babbling your nonsense if it
makes you feel important.
