"Tommye",
I do not know about the Microsoft Home Publishing Suite 2000, and I suggest
you post a new, separate post in the appropriate newsgroup.
However, on the installation of Service Packs that downloaded but did not
install in Windows 2000, let me suggest you try installing the latest
Service Pack 4 from the download page for a direct install. We can figure
out the error you get after you try the installation.
Here's how:
1. Click on the following link, and click on the Go button in the
upper-right hand corner of the page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000...p4/default.asp
2. Choose Save
3. Browse and choose the appropriate directory that you will remember.
4. Save and let the download complete.
5. Open the Service Pack executable from the directory you chose in step 3,
and follow the prompts to install it.
6. Make sure you DO create the backup files, in case there are problems with
installation.
Let us know how this goes.
Sincerely,
Pat Walters [MSFT]
