Microsoft J Script Compilation Error

I'm getting a 'Syntax Error' when I open up Websites with applets as
'Microsoft J Script Compilation Error.' I have to click to close the message
2x and then the applets load for all links in the site. (This applies only
to IE9. IE 8 Safari are OK.)

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Java and have disabled notices about script
errors in IE options /Advanced. Still have the same issue.

Any help appreciated-

Oreally

Hi,
1. These JavaScript (not Java) errors can usually just be ignored. Try
disabling the warnings.

From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced...
Check "Disable script debugging" and uncheck "Display a notification about
every script error."

2. If the Compatibility View icon (torn page next to the Address Bar) is
available, use it on the affected sites.
