It happened to me as well. When I installed it my mouse would not work
so I had to get a mouse that works in the USB port.

I suggest getting a USB mouse for the moment, if you don't already hav
one and see if it works now, the mouse plug-in (green) is the same a
the touch pads.

That could be the problem I wouldn't know for sure

This mouse problem occured on all our PC's as wel as our server. Even
reinstalling the Intellipoint software did not enable the 3rd,4th and 5th
mouse functions.

Hopefully Microsoft wil rectify this problem a.s.a.p.

Uninstalling does not help. On reboot it just reinstalls Ideacom again on
all XP and Vista systems. Our whole network has the problem.

Same problem here to. 3 machines screwed up.

I used a usb mouse on one machine and Remote Desktop on the others to roll
back the driver.

Seems to have worked fine

Did a roll back drivers on our XP machines, but it kept reinstalling the
ideacom drivers on rebooting. Got rid of that problem by deleting the two
driver files from windows/system32/drivers folder. Now to do it on the whole
network.

Did you get the update through Automatic Updates or did you go to the
update web site?

Automatic updates with script to install optional as well. Have now
disabled the script and hid the update.
