Microsoft newsgroups blank ( no messages) ?

I apologize if this is not the right newsgroup, but,

My Microsoft Excel community newsgroup is blank ( no messages showing). I
never noticed it before, but on the menu bar, it indicated click here to
install silverlight. I thought that was something new, so did it, but it
didn't help. Newsgroup is still not shwoing any messages.

You can still access the groups on some non-MS servers such as Eternal
September, but how long the quality of questions and replies lasts is
unknown.
