SEATTLE - Microsoft Corp. said its fiscal first-quarter profit rose
23 percent as brisk sales of the new "Halo 3" video game, Windows
and Office helped the software maker breeze past Wall Street's expectations.

Investors cheered, sending shares up from $31.99 to $35.16, about
10 percent, in after-hours electronic trading.

Revenue grew 27 percent to $13.76 billion from $10.81 billion in
the year-ago quarter, beating analysts' forecast by more than $1 billion.

Microsoft has sold 85 million copies of the Windows Vista operating
system since the newest operating system went on sale in January -
and 25 million since the end of July -

Lets see the Bozo's explain why their predictions don't seem to be playing
out in the "real world"...just in their deluded minds.

Got any figures for European sales? After all, if most of the sales are
in the US, those are the same people who voted in Bush and brought on
the current disasters all over the world. Oil is doing even better than
MS at over 90 a barrel.

You two nitwits know nothing of the real world. Frank and you are
STILL too damn dumb to understand what SALES means in the context
used. I tried once to explain it to you two dummies. Obviously it was
too complicated for morons to grasp.

BTW, as I've said several times I'm a stockholder in Microsoft. It
would be foolish of me to wish it to fail or do poorly. As a stock
holder I have every right to be critical of dumb things Microsoft
management does, after all they work for me. Understand yet? No, of
course you don't.

BTW for anyone that cares Microsoft was up seventy four cents today
and is up another $3.35 in after market trading for a nice 10% bounce
due to much stronger than expected earnings.

Right now of the 31 analysis that track the stock 12 recommend a hold,
13 rank it a buy, 4 a strong buy with one each saying sell or strong
sell.
