microsoft sql server 2005 express edition service pack 2 install failure

when i try to install the service pack 2 through windows update it shows
a error saying "Hotfix installer has stopped working. A problem cause
the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program
and notify you if a solution is available"

On the windows update it says:
Failed: 1 update
Error(s) found:
Code FF

please help me

I would run a program called dialafix. It works pretty well a correcting
windows updates problems. Make sure you check off all of the settings. I am
lazy to get you a URL, just go a google search for it.
