Hello Gary. Thanks for your response. This Microsoft Support Article i
for Windows XP and not Vista. Method 1 uses a i386 file/folder that i
only applicable to Windows XP -- totally dead in the water with thi
method. Method 2 was looking more promising, but when I try to run th
command C:\Windows\repair , I get only a message that states, "Window
cannot find 'C:\Windows\repair'. Make sure you typed the name correctly
and then try again." This second method sounds like it's only applicabl
to Windows XP too.
Any other suggestions
This is where Windows Vista fails miserably in terms of fixing th
operating system compared to the numerous opportunities that Windows X
has to repair itself. The old Recovery Console did a lot to help yo
too!
I ran a few times System File Checker and still when I re-install th
software, I still get the 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem error message.
Please reply anybody. Thanks!
