Is it Microsoft?

Why don't Microsoft display their logo on the update installation dialogues
and stop inventing meaningless icons. Sometimes the update behaves oddly and
all that is displayed is a dialogue box that doesn't claim to be Microsoft in
any shape or form - just some abstract cog like icon in the top right corner.
In these days of concern over security it would be reassuring to see the
Microsoft name and logo's on every dialogue as you go through the update
process.

I aborted an update this morning for this reason. It may well have been from
Microsoft but how was I to know?
