microsoft update with a 56k modem ... sloooow

greetings,

after all my posts about microsoft update web site, i decided to try that
web site myself. i have great news. even with a56k modem (slower than dirt)
i added seven updates with no problems ... i was surprised and i figured you
might like to know that it worked for me. i still see notes from users of
the windowsupdate web site who are having problems.

i prepared a backup file to restore my computer if the windowsupdate went
south on me but i didi not need the restore file.

i also owe microsoft an apology for blasting their web site. sorry microsoft
....
