Microsoft Update and squid proxy

I'm using about 45 Windows Xp Pro SP2 computers behind squid proxy in
transparent mode. Every time I try to check Microsoft Updates for new updates
I get error 0x80190193. The WU log tells that file wuredir.cab can't be
downloaded.
Anybody please help.

No proxycfg.exe doesn't help
