Hi there,
I received 9 updates from Microsoft (August), and after agreeing to the
installation - the installation stuck on the 2nd update (malicious
software remover update). After several minutes I cancelled the update
process (or more like it, I tried to cancel it) - then it was stuck on
the cancelling operation. After several minutes (again) I decided to
restart my computer (the cancelling operation didn't finish), hoping
that after a new restart I will be again be prompted to install the
already downloaded updates.
But it didn't happen this way, there was no yellow shield this time.
The WindowsUpdate file last entry (after the restart) says : "Updates
found = 0" and the Windowsupdate folder is empty.
>From what I understand, Windows consider the updates as installed... Is
there anything I can do to re-download the missing updates? (from the
automatic updates, preferably) Going back to a previous restore point
is not an option.
Thanks in advance.
