Hey everyone, i play alot of COD WAW, and run a gForce 260 GTX video card on
A Window Vista 64 OS.

Just today i checked for new windows updates and found an optional update
for my specific video card. I ran the update, now my WAW crashes 2 minutes
into the game, every time. I tried to see if i could uninstall the update,
but when i go to my installed updates page, it doesn't show it or any other
updates installed for the last week. The screen will also go black for a
second or two, occationally.

I tried doing a system restore, that didn't help. Also installed the newest
driver from Nvidea. Nothing helped.

It also had an update for my ethernet card. It also caused problems.
Wouldn't let me connect to the internet. Until i straightened that out.

May just have to uninstall/reinstall the game. Anybody else have any similar
problems?

No similar issues here - but future advice...

Microsoft did not create the majority of your hardware (none that you
mentioned) - do not get the drivers and updates for said hardware from
them - always get it from the manufacturer of said device(s).

You should install an older (if you know the previous version you had)
version of the Nvidia drivers.

Now is a great time to point you to one of the easiest ways to find
information on problems you may be having and solutions others have found:

Search using Google!

I notice that according to the game's web site Activation released an urgent
game update at around about the same time you started having problems. So the
issues with the game might (or might not) be unrelated to the video card drivers.

The system restore should have put back the earlier driver, so the fact that it
didn't help suggests a game issue. Have you looked in the relevant forums on
the game's site?

Harry.
