I have a Windows xp home edition 2pk for some reason it keeps showing
üpdate"failed and gives me this error code

thanks but I understand it does not apply to xp2

Got Vista mixed up with XP2, sorry.
I don't have a recommendation for WinXP SP2 -
Error 800706BA, The RPC Server Is Unavailable

I get these symptoms, with this error code, on a 32 bit Vista Business
machine - downloaded the BITS repair tool, ran it and it advises me that
"BITS repair is not currently required"!!!!!

What now? Thanks.

No one has yet to address this for Windows XP... there is the fix for Vista,
but I am running XP.. and getting this error when trying to login to
messenger.... HELP
