Microsoft Update fails with error

Hi,

when trying to run Windows update on a Win XP SP2 laptop, it fails and I get
the following error in the WindowsUpdate.log :

WARNING: WU client fails CClientCallRecorder::AddService with error
0x80040111

Any ideas anyone ?

I have stambled accross the solution to my problem in one of the postings in
the forum.

I reinstalled msxml3.msi from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...a9582#filelist

and that seems to have made the trick.
