I'm wondering if I could get some help trying to figure out an issue
I'm having with one of my machines. It's running Windows XP SP2,
however, I tried to run Microsoft Update a few days ago and no matter
what I've tried so far I still get error code 0x80070002. I've tried
the solutions in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910336/en-us and I've
also installed the update in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922582/en-us .

I have also ruled out any connection issues since I've tried this on
two different connections (one firewalled and via proxy, the other
totally open). Both don't work, however, another machine works
perfectly fine on both connections. Btw, in case it matters this
machine belongs to a domain, however, I'm the network admin so I have
full admin rights to it and it doesn't get any group policies etc.
pushed to it.

Thanks for the help,
Harry
