Microsoft Update Issue

Everytime I go to Microsoft Update site it tries to install the Active-
X control 'Windows Update' from 'Microsoft Windows Component Publich'
but the damn thing won't install. Just keeps popping back up at the
top of the web browser to select install. No errors or anything just
keeps wanting me to click and install.


It's windows 2003 sp1 and IE7 installed.

Which antivirus and security software is installed ?

Please post the last 50 or so lines of the WindowsUpdate.log by going to
Start > Run > type in [ or copy&paste the below into the Open: line ]

%windir%\windowsupdate.log

Click OK or press Enter

thanks, i didn't even think of that. But i disabled the norton client
security and it worked.
