microsoft update problems

i open up microsoft update. i choose the custom option and is scan my comp.
the screen where you selction stuff pops up. if you click on any on the
buttons on the left frame (high priority. software optional ect.) it starts
widows update over agian in the right frame. what do i do?????

I have exact the same problems. Hints I found didn't help
(popup blocker settings//register urlmon.dll)
