Microsoft Update (or svchost) 100% CPU Usage

Apparently this problem came up last month is spreading around as the
"svchost hanging up problem".

The thread "ntdll.dll!RtlAllocateHeap+0x18c" (of svchost), related with
Microsoft Update, is taking over Windows XP around the globe, for about
5 minutes, everytime ones turns on his/her computer.

When you "disable Microsoft update" through Windows Update site, the
problem disappears.

You MVP guys are aware of that?

ps: To check whether or not this is the problematic thread, use
Process Explorer, select the svhost process and goes to
properties->threads. And to correct it, go to "change settings" in
Windows Update to find that disable option.
