I think I've figured this problem out, can you check the following key in
your registry - and see if it exists?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\SensLogn

My guess is that it doesn't. Let me know, and we'll follow up from there.

I'm running XP SP2 and I also have
"PostShell"="SensPostShellEvent"
"Disconnect"="SensDisconnectEvent"
"Reconnect"="SensReconnectEvent"

though I don't know that you want to just run in and change them. Hmm, it's
odd that these problems seem so similar, but they must be different causes.

I found a solution for my problem.

In the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\

directory there was a Notify_Disabled sub folder.

The Senslogn sub folder for the Notify directory also was not there.

I corrected the differences between the Notify directory and all
subfolders based on a working machine of the same build and deleted the
Notify_Disabled and rebooted.

It all worked after that.
