microsoft visiual c++ runtime library

Every time that I open my "My Pictures" folder in paint, or online trying to
save a picture to it, I get the following error message:

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\WINDOWS\system32\mspaint.exe
abnormal program termination
(when i open the folder in paint)

and

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORER.EXE

How can I fix this????????????????????
