Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2005 error

Hi,

I have had various instances where I get errors during the install of some
programs. The last example is the PC Mark Vantage from Futuremark. During the
install I get the following error:
http://lh6.google.es/dasaecor/Rxns_y...kAdvantage.jpg

I would greatly appreciate any help with this error. Thanks

You should shutdown all applications such as anti-virus and spyware
detectors when doing the install, which could be interfering and stopping
the install. As a matter of fact, you should shutdown all applications when
doing the install.

During the install, did you right-click the Install.exe for the application
and did a Run As Administrator to give it the privileges needed, even though
you are logged on on to the machine as Administrator? RAA gives more rights
to the program.
