wups2.dll NOT FOUND

Please help?

I too am having this problem on Windows Server 2003 - cannot find anything in
the KB to help. One more update would not install for me (probably because I
am on 03 server and not XP) It is KB969805 - Any help would be appreciated

You stopped the update service or was it diabled ?
To reset the updating components, use the Fixit here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

Suggest you download and *save* ResetWindows.msi, then Clean Boot XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353

*Remember* to check the native XP firewall to ensure it's Enabled if a
3rd party firewall is disabled in the clean boot state.
The system must be connected to the net when ResetWindows.msi is run in
order for it to download required updating software components.
Reboot afterwards, still in the clean boot state, and see if the system
can update now.
