Microsoft/Windows Update Page error?

I go to Start > Programs > then either Microsoft or Windows Update, and I get
my IE page popping up, and it reads witht he following error:

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

So how can I update my files?
