I the Microsoft Windows update site down ????

When i try to access windows update site i get the following error :-

"[Error number: 0xC8000408]
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.
"

I suspect some website problem or some previous Microsoft update causing
this issue. Does anyone have a solution for this problem, its been there for
quite a while!!.
