Migrate Certificate Services from Win2003 DC to Win2008 R2 64bit

Question:
What are the steps necessary to move certificate services from a Windows
2003 DC (32-bit) to a Windows 2008 R2 DC (64-bit). I have seen references to
kb298138 and cc755153. However...I cannot rename the new DC to the old DC
name and it seems there are issues with backing up and restoring a 32bit
version of CA db and restoring it to a 64 bit machine.

Any thoughts, pointers, etc?
