Migrate Cluster or Rebuild?

Per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/269196, production clusters should not
be migrated between domains. However, I've done this before with success.
The only thing missing in the KB were some static SIDs in the registry
representing groups, which didn't translate with ADMT, and needed to be
updated manually.

I have two Server 2003 R2 2-node clusters that need to be migrated to a new
forest and I'm just curious how all of you handle them. Do you migrate the
clusters or rebuild them? If you rebuild, do you reload them one node at a
time to avoid outages? All of my service accounts have already been
pre-migrated to the new forest.

Any help is appreciated.

Per that KB, it is not recommended but is possible and the KB describes how
to do this procedure. Was there something else you were confused about?

Ryan,

Just curious how others out there would handle this for SQL clusters. For
example, would a Microsoft Gold Partner come in and rebuild or try to
migrate? I'm somewhat afraid of having an issue surface and not be able to
get support from Microsoft. I guess, worst case scenario, it could be
rebuilt if that occurred.

We now have the same problem!
We have the 2-node clustered SQL 2005 on server 2003 R2 and it is to be
migrated in another domain. It is the final step of migrating our
infrastructure to the AD forest of the head company.

What we should do with that problem?
Is there any experience of migrating the same clustered servers? how-to's
and rnown issues are welcome.
