My issue is that I need to make certain that any DHCP databases do not get
corrupted on the new 2003 server. The methods that are used in the microsoft
article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325473 are completely different that
that in TechRepublic
http://articles.techrepublic.com.com...1-5034284.html. I need to
know why. I have another person in the politics/rack that is going to use
the TechRepuiblic method on a production server. I have to make absolutely
certain that all DHCP related files/folders/databases/etc do not get
corrupted. Without a knowledgeable and professional answer, I may be
rebuilding a server because someone at the rack did not want to listen. My
gut tells me that TechRepublic is incorrect, as they just copy folders and
make a couple regedits. Microsoft discusses extracting and importing
databases using certain tools. I need to know the reason why they are so
different.
