Hello! I have a customer That is currently running SBS 2003 SP2 and using
the Exchange to host their own mail. This server is there only domain
controller. The have purchased a new server with Windows 2003 server
standard edition (30 new CALS) and want to make it their new domain
controller. They have also purchased Exchange 2003 for the new server with
the licenses. The plan is to migrate the users and mail to the new server
and reload the SBS server as a backup. I need to get a step by step on how
to do this without having to touch every desktop. The SBS server will not be
needed anymore with the small business suite. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thank you!
Jason

Leythos,
I did not sell them the full edition. Secondly, they are going to expand to
over 100 users and want to have the systems in place. They will have around
three DC's in the network all together. I just need to know the steps for
migrating.

We can only hope

The other option that would have saved a significant load of cash would have
been to 'transition' the existing system.

Personally though, it's too late to do it 'the right way', the money has
been spent so we look at 'next best'. Someone needing to ask what would be
next best would do well to discuss the project with JeffM as a type of
www.sbsmigration.com swing.
