reading the migration steps, the migration requires SP2 for Exchange and
SharePoint. In our SBS2003 , we don't use Exchange nor Sharepoint so the
installation was removed. Will this cause issues for the migration to
SBS2008 or will it see that the applications are not part of the environment
and bypass them?

Hi Peral:

With SBS 2003 one could make a reasonable case for SBS over Windows Standard
Server even if one did not use Exchange or SharePoint. But with the price
increase of SBS 2008, I am not sure that it makes any sense to deploy SBS
08 without using those two applications.

Perhaps you should consider introducing Server 2008 into the domain and removing
SBS?

Not using Exchange IMO you are missing out on SBS
I know people "TINK" POP3 Is better
but in reality is not better
it's more administrative work
and if you PC dies'
so does your email with it, and contacts and notes etc etc etc.

Get off the PST and move to a better solution.

If you still insist that You don't need email backups
(Email and contacts not important to your organization)

You can get the Foundation Server <15 users
or better IMO if you have <10 users HP DataSafe
