miniminimize/maximize/close buttons not responding

title says it all. the minimize/maximize/close buttons are not working
at all. the animation shows when u click the button that u have clicked
it but nothing happens. it is a problem in every windows with every
program. i can do with keyboard shortcuts for now. but i really need the
buttons. it irritates me alot.
urgent help needed. thnx in advance

If by "buttons" you mean keyboard buttons for these functions, check the
setup for your keyboard.

Quaoar has already stated clearly that the buttons do have that highlighting
feedback effect when clicked....neither have I so far seen an animated
keyboard,nor does one `click` on a keyboard.
Also,he has mentioned that `i can do with keyboard shortcuts for now. but i
really need the buttons`.
