Minimize Animation and order of Windows

Anyone else notice that sometimes the minimize animation isnt visible? This
is most noticeable when you have a maximized window, open another window in
front of it, and minimize it. It seems sometimes windows drop behind other
windows in the zorder when theyre minimizing and thus the animation can't be
seen. Is this a known issue?
